On Friday I had a busy morning in my workshop when 9 employees came for a pottery experience as part of their team building day. It was a bit of a squeeze in my small workshop with limited space and limited time as their afternoon was reserved for making chocolates at the local chocolatier, Cocoa Mountain, but we managed.
I explained the basic stages in making a pot and then everyone had some hands on experience. This included making pinch pots & having a go on my pottery wheel. Everyone also had the opportunity to paint some bisque fired mugs that I had prepared earlier. These will all be fired and collected in about 2 weeks time. I hope that they will be pleased with the final results and that they enjoyed their intense morning experiencing as big a variety as I could fit in that morning.
Unfortunately I didn't have the time to get photos of everyone and the work they were doing, but here are some of the creations. Once the firing is complete I will put up photos of the final results.
Workshops can be held in my own pottery in Balnakeil Craft Village or at any other appropriate venue. To get in touch about booking your own please e-mail me (Martina) at firstname.lastname@example.org.
